The Best Prepper Movie List – Final Prepper

The Best Prepper Movie List

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Have you ever wanted to sit down and enjoy a good movie that has a little to do with prepping or surviving?

Me too, but there is never a “Preparedness”, “Survival“, or “Reasons to Prepare” category in the movie sections so finding new movies that peak my interest can be difficult. Therefore I present to you, The Great Prepper Movie List! There is a section for family appropriate movies but please consult the ratings and reviews of a movie before turning it on with the kids.

A lot of the older movies and documentaries on this list can be found on Netflix and/or YouTube, those are good places to look as well. Please note – due the nature of what we prepare for, outside of the family category, some of the movies on these lists are exceedingly violent in nature. I have linked the movies to Amazon or Wikipedia where ever possible, please read about the movie before you get it. Check the synopsis, ratings and reviews prior to viewing or purchasing especially if you are sensitive to certain types of violent situations.

Click on the listed Movies below to read more about them. Each one is linked to a purchasing source and/or more information.

Very helpful, most don’t have the mental skills required to survive when the shit hits the fan!!! Being able to shut out all people except your family unit is harder than most can archive!!!!!

I saw a trailer for a movie about a prepper group been confronted by law enforcement at their retreat and the guy told the cops they are fine. This was a few years ago. Anyone know of this movie or was just a trailer like Gray State for a movie that was never made? Captain Fantastic is a great movie I plan to watch with my children, a father raising his children off grid to survive and home schools them.

If anyone is still into reading a real book – “Alas Babylon” written by Pat Frank and published by Bantam books between 1960 and 1970 is an excellent book about when and after the SHTF. This book started me on my prepper journey when I read it in High School (yes, during the cold war in the 60’s).
*Note- Don’t read any reprints published after 1974-75 as alot of the good and important parts were edited out.

To survive and enjoy the movies and books we need to stay in good health, free of any illness. Does the survival food contain enzymes? Enzymes are of the utmost importance for the survival food to sustain us. In the 1950’s, survival food was stored for emergency during the cold war. It was found to be useless because the survival food had no enzymes.
Proteolytic probiotics are also extremely important for maintaining superb health.
